Morey Compares and Contrasts Taylor and Wafer

HOUSTON, TX -- During his June 25th post-draft press conference, Rockets' general manager was asked if Rockets' rookie Jermaine Taylor's game is similar to Von Wafer's game.

Morey answered, "I would say they have a different skill set. I think they have different abilities. I think Von's explosiveness is very, very high -- near elite in the league. I don't think Jermaine is quite there; but, I think Jermaine might have a more overall game.

"We just try to bring in talent. Give it to Coach (Rick Adelman) and whoever plays the best, gets on the floor."

Taylor is about 6'4, 6'5; and, he's definitely a scorer. He averaged 26.2 points per game this past season for the UCF Knights; and, he shot 48.0% from the field (37.6% on threes).
